The Voice Season 23 Coaches & Their Teams Revealed
Everything to know about who's sitting in the red chairs and which Artists they are coaching this season.
Shortly before The Voice Season 22 wrapped, we found out some exciting news about Season 23. In late 2022, NBC announced the Coaches lineup for The Voice Season 23. It included two Voice veterans, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson, and two-brand new Coaches: Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan. Who are The Voice Coaches for Season 23?
Blake Shelton
Shelton has returned for Season 23, and it will be his last season on The Voice (yes, you read that right). He announced Season 23 would be his last in October.
“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” Shelton said in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best."
Who on Team Blake is going to The Voice Season 23 finale?

Grace West and NOIVAS were both voted into The Voice Season 23 finale after successfully completing the Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts, Playoffs.
Kelly Clarkson
Meanwhile, Clarkson takes a seat in her red chair once again after a brief hiatus.
"My strategy this season? I think I just had to wait to see who I was gonna have to argue with the most to get somebody on my team," Clarkson explained to NBC Insider. “...There was one day where I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna quit.’ And there was another day I felt like I was flying through it, doing awesome. But I think, for me, the strategy always just changes depending on the Coaches and who auditions and who to fight against to get people."

Chance the Rapper
Rounding out the group of Coaches are music powerhouses Horan and Chance the Rapper, marking their debuts on the series.
Chicago native Chance the Rapper rose to fame as an independent artist on SoundCloud and eventually released his celebrated third mixtape, Coloring Book. It became the first streaming-only album to debut on the Billboard Charts and was streamed 57 million times in its first week. Coloring Book earned him three Grammys, one of them making him the first male rapper to take home Best New Artist. Chance's also had his time on music competition shows as a Judge on Netflix's reality rap competition series Rhythm + Flow.
“I’m thrilled to join The Voice as a Coach for the next season,” Chance said in a statement. “I’m excited to help other Artists get to the next level and make the most of this life-changing experience. Get ready for #TeamChance.”
“I wanted to be a Coach on The Voice because I like giving platforms to young Artists—especially people who are already seasoned in their trade and know what they’re doing but just need the right spotlight. I wanted to be a part of the process,” he told NBC Insider.

Team Chance's sister trio Sorelle has earned a shot at victory in The Voice Season 23 finale.
Niall Horan
Horan is no stranger to music competition series, as his world-famous boy band, One Direction, formed on British reality show The X Factor in 2010. (AGT's Simon Cowell famously helped discover and manage the group.) Named by Billboard as "one of the most successful boy bands in history," their accolades include six Billboard Top 100 hits, four VMAs, four chart-topping albums, and four sold-out world tours. After the group officially parted ways in 2016, Horan carried on a thriving solo career and released two successful albums.
In his own statement, Horan said about joining the show, “I’m excited to be joining this season of The Voice as a Coach. I’m looking forward to meeting and mentoring the new crop of talent while we battle it out with the other teams!”
And he also told NBC Insider about the Artists this season, “I can't say I've watched every single season back to back, but what I would say about the Artists this year is the talent is off the scale. I'm seeing it here from my own two eyes, performance after performance."

Team Niall's Gina Miles secured a spot in the finale after the first Live Show on May 15. Ultimately, Miles won the competition.
