How to Watch

Watch Law & Order Thursdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock

In a sweet post, the Law and Order: Organized Crime star shared a behind-the-scenes photo embracing Mariska Hargitay as the two shot promo for their respective series. That's right, Benson and Stabler are together once again. And we can't forget District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) who Meloni also snapped a touching picture with.

"Me n homegurl @therealmariskahargitay plus L&O OG Sam Waterston in Btwn the publicity @nbc @wolfentertainment," Meloni wrote in a caption.

In case you need a reminder, Law & OrderLaw & Order: OC, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit are each returning in the fall for their new seasons with a combined 3-hour episode. The Premiere Event, airing Thursday, September 22 at 8/7c, will feature our favorite characters from each series as they fight to solve an especially heinous case.

In a press release, NBC revealed the following synopsis: "As the telecast begins, a mysterious young girl is shot in cold blood and Det. Frank Cosgrove (Jeffrey Donovan) teams up with Det. Jalen Shaw (Mehcad Brooks, first episode) to track down her killer. Capt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Det. Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are called in to help when they realize they have more than a typical homicide case on their hands. After uncovering key evidence, Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) and ADA Nolan Price (Hugh Dancy) seek justice against an international crime ring, but complications threaten the outcome of their case."

Law & Order universe creator, Dick Wolf, said, “Nothing demonstrates the power of the Law & Order brand more than an ambitious three-hour event with a story that is truly ripped from the headlines. Rick [Eid] and Gwen [Sigan] did an amazing job writing a compelling script, and I can’t think of a bigger and better way to launch the new season of Law & Order Thursday.”
