The America's Got Talent stage is no stranger to great singers. In Season 17 alone, four out of the six Golden Buzzers are musicians. And we can't forget standouts like Amanda Mammana and Kristen Cruz.

How to Watch

But there's always room for more vocalists, and Sam Cieri made that very clear during the seventh round of Auditions. The New Jersey native belted out a yet-to-be-released track from his band, the Nicotine Dolls. The track's irresistible hook—"Tell me what makes, tell me what makes you sad"—was made all the better by Cieri's unique, raspy vocals.

"I came here because I've been making music my entire life, and like a month ago was the first month that I ever actually paid my bills and everything by making music, and that's really cool," he told the Judges. "The dream is to be a musician, and that's my job, and that's what I do everyday and it self-sustains."

The panel was blown away by the unassuming Cieri and his powerful voice.

"If Rod Stewart and John Mayer had a baby. It's like, what? I mean, special. Very, very special voice," Heidi Klum said.

Sofia Vergara called his Audition "different and sexy," while Simon Cowell added, "You know what was great about it, Sam? It was really authentic. You were very honest with us, as well. We got to know you very quickly, and it was like you swallowed a great singer because the way you talk is like there's somebody else in you." Naturally, he earned three yeses.

The Nicotine Dolls currently have four singles available for streaming: "2 Weaks," "Till We Both Say," "Love Story // Check Yes Juliet," and "Upset the Neighbors."

Watch AGT on NBC Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock.
