Best Of Blake Shelton: Celebrating His Final Season On 'The Voice'

The Voice Season 23 finale on May 23 was packed with mind-blowing performances and emotional farewells, especially as fans said goodbye to beloved fan-favorite Coach, the red chair OG himself, Blake Shelton. If you've tuned in for any of Season 23, you know that Shelton's exit as a Coach has been emotional. Season 24 will be the first in Voice history without him!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

He's certainly going out with a bang, though. Not only has the last-ever Team Blake been crushing it through every stage of the competition (Shelton has two Artists in the Top 5), the finale episode is a tribute to his Voice legacy. Many former Voice Coaches appeared to pay their respects, including Shelton's longtime red chair rival, Adam Levine, who performed "Middle Ground" with Maroon 5. After the band's performance during the finale, Shelton walked over to Levine, hugged him, and literally picked him up. It was too cute!

Levine and Shelton have a Voice bromance for the ages, so it was delightful to see them together again  Levine actually recently spoke at Shelton's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony; his speech included some playful jabs, because duh, but was also packed with many heartwarming moments.

"I'm really proud of you, man, and I love you," Levine told Shelton. "This is a big deal."

Levine announced he'd be leaving The Voice after Season 16. "Thank you to every single Coach I ever sat in those chairs with. That is shared experience that is singularly ours," Levine shared in a statement on Instagram. "We have that for life. Thank you to everyone who supported this long, strange, and amazing left turn into a place I never thought I’d go..."

"To the amazingly talented vocalists who competed on the show and blew my mind on a daily basis. And, BLAKE F-CKIN’ SHELTON," Levine lovingly added. "I couldn’t hide my love for you if I tried. Seriously. I tried. Can’t do it. Our friendship is and always will be one for the books. Whatever this whole surreal experience was, I'm just happy I got to experience it with you. You’re my brother for life."
