Earlier this year, the AGT executive producer and Judge broke his arm in an electric bike accident. He's been on the mend in the months since, but fans will spot him rocking his arm brace throughout Season 17. "I'm fine," he told Access Hollywood in April. "It was a stupid accident. It was just annoying mainly because I couldn't ride my bike."
However, during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show alongside Judge Heidi Klum, Host Terry Crews, and Vergara, he jokingly pointed to Vergara for his bad luck.
"One by one we've all had accidents ever since Sofia joined the show," Cowell joked, calling the actress an "assassin." Season 15 in 2020 marked Vergara's first year on the show.
Klum also got in on the fun. "When Sofia came the first year, we met," the model said. "The next day I was sick."
But why on Earth would Vergara have any ill-will towards her co-stars? "They say I was trying to judge the whole show by myself," she playfully told Clarkson.
She continued to deny having any connection to Klum or Cowell's maladies. "I don't believe it because nothing has happened to me," Vergara laughed. "I haven't even in two years gotten COVID. Not even once."
Well, we're inclined to believe Vergara when it comes to this one, but we'll still be keeping a close eye on her every week.
