Simon Cowell Opens Up About His 'Annoying' Arm Injury

The America's Got Talent Judge says he's back on his bike!

By Christopher Rosa

Earlier this year, America's Got Talent Judge Simon Cowell broke his arm in an electric bike accident. He had to wear a cast for the injuries, but now that's been downgraded to just a hand brace, which viewers will see on AGT Season 17.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 19 premiere of America’s Got Talent Tuesday, May 28 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock

So, how is Cowell feeling now that he's several months removed from the incident? "I"m fine," he told Access Hollywood in April. (Watch the interview for yourself in the video, above.) "It was a stupid accident. It was just annoying mainly because I couldn't ride my bike."

Thankfully, Cowell's now back on his bike, which he's thrilled about. "For six weeks, I [was] walking, and walking is the most boring thing on the planet. It's dreadful," he said. "I can't bear it...cycling, you can go anywhere. I feel better because of that. I've been exercising again and feel good again."

On his injury, Cowell added, "I broke [my arm] pretty bad; however, it's healed. I didn't have to have an operation. I was lucky, 'cause I nearly snapped the ligament. If you snap ligaments, then that's bad."

Crisis averted! America's Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and next day on Peacock.
