When Does Law & Order: SVU Season 24 Return With New Episodes?

Because after that midseason finale, SVU fans need to know!

Rollins Opens Up to Benson About Getting Shot | NBC’s Law & Order: SVU

The first half of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 24 has concluded, and it's safe to say SVU fans are already ready to jump back into the action.

After fans waited for a new episode for two weeks during the Thanksgiving hiatus, the SVU midseason finale became an emotional rollercoaster of a watch. During the December 8 episode, titled "And a Trauma In a Pear Tree," longtime fan favorite Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) got married to Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino) and also revealed that she accepted a teaching position. After 12 action-packed years in the SVU, viewers said goodbye to one of the series' most dedicated detectives.

Captain Benson (Mariska Hargitay) has her hands full going into the latter half of Season 24, and SVU fans will need to hold on tight before they'll receive a new episode. That's right, Season 24 of Law & Order: SVU is taking another hiatus in new episodes ahead of the new year. But have no fear: the squad will be back after the holidays. Read on for all the details on when and how to watch the next new episode of Law & Order: SVU.
