In 2019, America's Got Talent Season 14 winner Kodi Lee sang a stunning duet of "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper with AGT Season 13 Act Makayla Phillips.
During their rendition, Lee handled the introduction lyrics while playing the piano. They then harmonized the chorus perfectly, ending the performance on a confident note as the crowd went wild.

Originally performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper for the 2018 remake of the film A Star is Born, "Shallow" won an Oscar for "Best Original Song" in 2019. It also won two Grammy Awards for Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Pop/Duo Group Performance.

In an interview with Variety, Lady Gaga explained why she believed the song reached such massive success. "This is a song between a man and a woman, and he actually listens to her. And I think we live in a time when this is something that is really important to women. Women want to be heard," she said.
