How to Watch

On August 9, 2023, the AGT: Fantasy League Judge took to his official Instagram page to share a funny snapshot of himself and his 38-year-old daughter, Jackelyn Shultz, posing together in some matching, neon floral overalls from clothing brand Teddy Fresh. In the snapshot, Mandel and Shultz stood next to YouTuber Ethan Klein from the channel H3h3Productions. In the captions, Mandel gave a shoutout to his popular podcast, "Howie Mandel Does Stuff".

The overalls aren't the only way Mandel and his daughter resemble each other. In December 2022, Shultz uploaded a video of herself teasing her dad when she posted a clip with a bald filter on her head, mimicking Mandel's lack of locks.

"Wait, I look like someone..." she wrote over the video before zooming in on Mandel, who had a good sense of humor about the joke.

Howie Mandel's podcast

Mandel and his daughter have the best relationship, even collaborating as creatives. In 2021, Mandel started hosting a podcast with Shultz called "Howie Mandel Does Stuff." Episodes are typically released every week, and usually run about an hour in length.

Mandel has interviewed many celebrity guests on the show, including fellow AGT Judges Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell. He has also welcomed Tom Sandoval, Gene Simmons, Jimmy Kimmel, Danny DeVito, Tiffany Haddish, Craig Robinson, Mayim Bialik, Jeff Dunham, John Stamos, Tony Hawk, Judd Apatow, Weird Al Yankovic, and more.

In these episodes, he gets an in-depth look at these A-Lister's personal lives and backgrounds, often getting unknown details about their origins, and not being afraid to ask some raunchy questions along the way.

Howie Mandel and his Daughter Jackie Shultz

“Welcome to the most quick-witted and inappropriate podcast of all time hosted by comedian Howie Mandel and his cohost (and daughter) Jackelyn Shultz. Together, these two make prank calls, discuss pop culture, interview interesting people, say weird things, chat with listeners, get deep,” the official description of the podcast reads.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Mandel explained how he and his daughter got their inspiration for the podcast.

“[The podcast] came out of the fact that during the pandemic, we couldn’t see each other—we would spend hours on the phone together, me and Jackie—and we’d be making prank calls, and we would be just laughing, and being inappropriate, and pranking her mom, just having fun,” said Mandel. “My wife would walk in and go, ‘Who is this for, what is this even for?’ And I’d go, ‘We’re just having fun.'”

Episodes of "Howie Mandel Does Stuff" can be listened to on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Youtube, and Howie Mandel's official website.
