The midseason finale of Chicago Med Season 8 premieres December 7, and it couldn't come fast enough for Chi-Hards who have been tracking the heartwarming romantic journey between Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta). Fans of Ethan and April are finally getting what they've been waiting seasons to see: an official Chexton wedding.

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

As soon as April made her shocking return to Chicago Med after a failed engagement to Ethan, all eyes have been on the former flames to see if there would be a possible reunion. Ethan and April have grown tremendously since their first romantic go-around, and it was clear from the Season 8 premiere that there was still chemistry between the two doctors. Slowly but surely, April and Ethan collided with each other, with a wedding announced for Episode 9, titled "This Could Be The Start of Something New." Considering the episode will also serve as Tee's final appearance as the beloved ER doctor, many One Chicago fans are curious about what's in store for Ethan and April once the wedding bells are finished ringing.

Co-showrunners Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider opened up to NBC Insider about what viewers should anticipate for the midseason finale: "romance, a little heartbreak, and some big surprises." And based on these preview photos, that's abundantly clear. Check them out:
