Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Shared a Rare, Sweet Video of Their Family's Farm Life
They look like they're having so much fun.
Anyone who has watched The Voice knows that Coach Blake Shelton is a bonafide country boy through and through. He loves getting his hands dirty while spending time on his Oklahoma ranch, and his wife and former red chair competition, Gwen Stefani, captured a sweet video of their farm life — alongside their family.
In the video, Shelton is appropriately suited up in full camouflage. Camerawoman Stefani gives us shots of Shelton hanging out near his tractor, and it's clear she's embraced the country lifestyle, too. We love her red flannel!
Stefani posted the adorable video to social media accompanied by Weezer's "Island in the Sun," an appropriate song choice for clips of their farm-tastic paradise. The couple looks so serene enjoying time with their loved ones!
"Island in the (country) sun with the fam ☀️🌷 gx," Stefani captioned her video.
The Voice has been Shelton's home away from home for years, but with his final season coming to an end, the longtime Coach will get some much-deserved time with family.
“I think being a stepdad has changed my perspective in that I’m not the first person that I think about anymore," Shelton told Access. "Even to the small little things when you go, ‘I think I’ll do this,’ the very next thought is always, ‘Well, wait a minute. How’s that going work?' Or, 'What will they think?' Or, 'How will that affect a schedule?'"
“I think the only way for me to really do that right is to step away from being committed to something like The Voice that demands a lot of your time," Shelton continued. "There’s no way around it. If you’re going to do it and do it right, you have to be 150 percent in."
Stefani echoed his thoughts while chatting with Extra. “I think that Blake – I don’t know, I think he just wants more time, you know what I mean? I don’t know that people realize, if he’s doing two seasons a year, right? In between that, he’s touring," she explained.
"So he actually has two teams at the same time at a certain point, so they overlap. So it’s a lot of brain power, it’s a lot of time away from the family, those kinds of things," she continued. "I think he just got to a point where he just wants time in his ranch, like time to just do the other things that he loves to do."
We can't wait to see how Shelton's final season of The Voice shakes out before he runs off into the Oklahoman sunset.
