Meet the 56 Artists Competing on American Song Contest

See who's representing your home state!

By McKenzie Jean-Philippe

Music fans, listen up: A U.S. version of Eurovision, called American Song Contest, is coming to NBC, and we just found out the Artists competing.

For the unfamiliar, American Song Contest will see 56 Artists, each representing a U.S. state, territory, or Washington, D.C., performing an original song. The competition is comprised of three rounds—Qualifying Rounds, Semi Finals, and Grand Finals—with one solo Artist, Group, Band, or DJ taking home the title of Best Original Song during the Finale. Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson will host the show, which premieres Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

"I have been a fan and love the concept of Eurovision and am thrilled to bring the musical phenomenon to America," Clarkson said. "I’m so excited to work with Snoop and can’t wait to see every state and territory represented by Artists singing their own songs.”

Snoop added, "I am honored to host American Song Contest alongside my lil sis Kelly Clarkson, aka Miss Texas."
