The winners of America’s Got Talent Season 17, The Mayyas, are slaying the game. On October 21, the Lebanese dance group took the stage at the Relm Festival in Dubai and delivered a show stopping performance. Watch it here.
As always, the group performed intricate, high-energy choreography to the tune of "Chikni Chameli" by Shreya Ghoshal. They sported long, red flow-y outfits while moving together in perfect harmony.
The Mayyas received a Golden Buzzer from Judge Sofia Vergara during their Audition in Season 17. Simon Cowell commented that one of their dances was a “performance that changes the world,” and Howie Mandel said that the Act “shook him to his core.”
When NBC Insider spoke to The Mayyas' choreographer Nadim Cherfan he said, “Every girl in this group now believes that dreams do come true. And if you work hard for them, success is gonna be there waiting for you. And to never, never doubt yourself. To never, never stop doing what you love. To fight for it. To have a voice. To dance.”
He later added, "Because of the Mayyas and because of what happened on the [America's Got Talent] stage. I really do hope that this kind of art keeps on going and going in the Middle East and in Lebanon. Because there's nothing more beautiful than this."
We agree, and we can’t wait to see what beautiful dances The Mayyas have in store for their headlining spot in the AGT Las Vegas residency at the Luxor.
