On September 14, the America's Got Talent Season 14 winner shared a video of himself having a heartwarming interaction with Judge Simon Cowell, teaching him his signature secret handshake.

"Kodi Lee is now going to teach me how to be cool and do a proper handshake," Cowell said. "I'm gonna be useless, but teach me. Let's go!"

The two then high-fived three times before fist-bumping, and Lee did an "explosion" motion with his hand.

"I almost got that. That was the best handshake I've ever had! Thank you! I now feel cool and relevant," Cowell said before he gave Lee a hug and they both said "I love you." How sweet!

Simon Cowell talks about Kodi Lee's AGT Audition

Side by side images of Simon Cowell with his fist rested on his chin and Kodi Lee sitting at a piano on America's Got Talent.

"Kodi is one of the most amazing Auditions I've ever witnessed. I will never forget that moment. I mean, it was incredible," Cowell told AGT Host Terry Crews about Lee's jaw-dropping 2019 Audition, where he sang "A Song for You" by Donny Hathaway

When Lee and his mom, Tina, first appeared onstage during the Season 14 Auditions, she explained that Lee has blindness and autism, and his musical talents were recognized at an early age.

"We found out that he loved music early on. He listened and his eyes just went huge and he started singing. I was in tears, because that's when I realized, oh my gosh, he's an entertainer. So, it's actually has saved his life, playing music," she said.

Then, Lee began to sing. "The first note on the piano started, and I sat back, and it was like 'Woah,'" Cowell said. "Magic is the only word I can use. I've got goosebumps on my goosebumps right now. Not a dry eye in the theater. Everyone was in pieces afterwards."

"What just happened there was extraordinary," Cowell said in awe during his feedback after Lee's Audition. "I don't know what it's like to live in Kodi's world; all I can tell is that you obviously have an amazing relationship, the two of you, and I'm gonna remember this moment for the rest of my life."
