Inside Blake Shelton’s Last-Ever Battles on The Voice

Blake Shelton is sadly leaving The Voice after Season 23 this year, but not without a proper farewell, of course.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

On May 16, the OG Coach took to his official Instagram Story to share a heartwarming behind-the-scenes video of one of his last rehearsals on the set of the show. In the clip, we catch a glimpse of the production crew and staff, and they look like one big happy family. As Shelton pans his camera around the room, you can feel just how much love they all have for him.

"Just wrapped up 23 seasons of filming rehearsals with all these dipsticks! What a ride @nbcthevoice #TeamBlake," he playfully captioned an Instagram Story, giving a shout out to all the hard workers who make the amazing show possible.

Shelton has been very vocal about his appreciation for those who work behind the scenes at The Voice. When he first officially announced he was leaving the show in late 2022, he made sure to give a nod to the trusty production staff whom he has been very proud of.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” Shelton said in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best."

He continued, "It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week. I’ve made lifelong bonds with [Host] Carson [Daly] and every single one my fellow Coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen Stefani! I have to give a huge shoutout to the singers–the ‘Voices,’ who come on this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and a special thanks to those who chose me to be their Coach. Lastly, it’s about y’all, the fans, who watch and support these Artists, us Coaches, and everyone at The Voice who are chasing their dreams. It would not happen without you!"

He's certainly right about that! (We love a grateful king!)
