The Unexpected Way Gwen Stefani Says Blake Shelton “Changed Her Life”
Being with Shelton has taken Stefani to places she never thought she'd be. Literally!
In a September interview with People, the California native opened up about how she feels about living with Shelton at their ranch in Oklahoma and how their relationship has changed her life.
"I didn't see any of this coming with Blake. To be able to escape to Oklahoma, a place that I don't think I would have ever gone to, and when I met Blake, that's when I felt [at] home. Oh, this is where I'm supposed to be, with this guy," she told the outlet. "It was so automatic and just an amazing gift to be able to experience love like that for the first time. So going to Oklahoma was like being introduced to a whole world I didn't know about."
"He's changed my life," she added.
Stefani went on to discuss her connection with nature, more specifically, gardening. The "Underneath It All" singer frequently shows off her green thumb on social media, giving fans a glimpse into her outdoorsy life with Shelton.
"There he goes. Hardest working guy I've ever met. Making me work too!" Stefani said in June while following Shelton with a camera as they picked flowers in their yard.
Gwen Stefani talks doing The Voice without Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton left The Voice as a Coach after 23 seasons. And although Stefani misses his presence, she's been enjoying her time on Season 24.
"It's really different being on the show without him," Stefani told TODAY. "I miss him so bad on the show. But at the same time, it hasn't been as hard as I thought it was going to be because I think he was just so ready to have a break."
She expressed similar thoughts in the September interview with People, revealing that she's getting along well with fellow Season 24 Coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Niall Horan. "I was really weirded out like, 'What's it going to be like without Blake?' But we are having so much fun. At the end of the day, [we are] coaching these humans who are so gifted. I love it," she said.
