How to Watch

Watch Found on NBC and Peacock.

The Found trailer has dropped, giving viewers a sneak peek at the edgy and topical missing-person drama premiering on NBC Oct. 3.

The series follows Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton), an abduction survivor committed to find missing people who have fallen through the cracks. With the help of a crisis management team, Gabi is able to bring much-needed attention to these missing persons, a majority of whom are people of color.

What the Found trailer reveals

“You saved yourself from your kidnapper when you were 16 years old,” Gabi is asked by a journalist in the teaser that debuted via PEOPLE. “Does it haunt you that your kidnapper was never found?”

“Haunt?” echoes Gabi, her voice pure steel. “No!”

Though her captor seemingly got away with his crimes, Gabi has moved on with her life and turned her pain into purpose. Plus, she has a very good reason for not being haunted — one which emerges as the trailer toggles back and forth between the past and the present.

The trailer shows a 16-year-old Gabi saving herself from her kidnapper, Sir — played by Saved by the Bell alum Mark-Paul Gosselaar — by cracking him over the head with a heavy skillet.

Since then, Gabi has grown even stronger and isn’t shy about using other hard-hitting strategic measures — installing hidden cameras, punching a creep's lights out — to get abducted adults and children back home. Gabi's motto is "Whatever it takes!"

Found is informed by the fact that 600,000 people go missing each year in the U.S. — a number that Gabi seeks to lower through her own amateur investigative work. And while Gabi’s efforts have been called “heroic,” the police are mystified about how she is able to what she does.

“We need to talk about how you figured out this location before us cops,” an official says.

Gabi’s poker-faced response: “We all have our secrets.”

Gabi Mosely's Secret Revealed

Gabi’s most chilling secret just so happens to be locked behind a triple-locked door in her home. The preview shows that Gabi found her captor Sir and chained him up in her basement, as he once did to her.

But Gabi isn't just holding Sir as a form of revenge. She's taken him into her home so she can tap into his criminal mind, using his own criminal instincts to help her find missing victims. “I won’t let what you did to me be for nothing,” she says.

“Like a partnership,” says Sir, who’s desperate to be in control.

“We’re not partners,” says Gabi. “You’re a monster.”

See how the twisted arrangement works in Gabi's favor when Found premieres on Oct. 3 at 10/9c on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock
