Mariska Hargitay Got a New Cat — and Named It After Taylor Swift! See Pic

Mariska Hargitay just proved once and for all that these Taylor Swift lyrics are true: Karma is, indeed, a cat. 

How did the Law & Order: SVU actress do this, you ask? By getting a cat herself — and naming it Karma, after Swift's hit song from her 2022 album, Midnights.

Hargitay unveiled her new pet to the world on Thursday, November 30. She shared two photos of the feline to Instagram, including one where it's adorably licking its paw, with the caption, "Karma is a Cat @taylorswift Meet Karma. My Cat.🐱 #MeAndKarmaVibeLikeThat #AndIKeepMySideOfMyPawClean #KarmaIsACat." 

Those hashtags are all references to lyrics from Swift's song "Karma." Read them for yourself, below.

Hargitay and Swift are old friends. Hargitay actually appeared in Swift's music video for the song "Bad Blood" back in 2015, and ever since then, it's been a love-fest between the two ladies — especially on Instagram. 

Of course, Hargitay attended several of Swift's Eras Tour shows in 2023, including a stop in Nashville with Reese Witherspoon. On the experience, Hargitay wrote via Instagram, "It's like I got this music in my mind
