Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Looked So in Love Performing at a Super Bowl Party
The couple did a live version of the new single before the 2024 Super Bowl.
At the TikTok Tailgate party before the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers game, the two joined forces for a debut performance of their new duet, ''Purple Irises.''
During their performance at the Allegiant Stadium, Stefani stunned in slit Western-style pants and fishnets. Meanwhile, Shelton rocked the all-black look.
That day, Stefani took to her official Instagram page to share wonderful behind the scenes moments and snapshots from the performance. In one special clip, her, Shelton, and their crew all chanted ''PURPLE IRISES!'' together. In another, you can see the two locking eyes with one another on stage.

The history behind Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's new song ''Purple Irises''
Stefani dropped hints about the new single on both January 29 and January 30 when she shared polaroid pictures of herself and Shelton placed in front of some purple Irises, with the second snapshot featuring a handwritten love note from Shelton.
She then officially revealed the name of the tune on February by sharing the gorgeous cover art, which featured Shelton strumming a guitar and Stefani lounging on a couch. ''Purple Irises'' dropped on February 9, and the song features gorgeous, country inspired harmonies and meaningful lyrics that talk about the staying power of their love. Read all the lyrics here.
Stefani and Shelton have a slew of lovely duets together, including ''Go Ahead and Break My Heart',' ''You Make it Feel Like Christmas',' ''No Body But You,'' ''Happy Anywhere''. In August 2023, Stefani and Shelton paid tribute to The Judds with a cover of ''Love Is Alive.'' Listen to it here.
“We wrote a song together probably the first month we started talking or hanging out,” she told the outlet. “It was when we were like, ‘This is not gonna happen. What are we doing? We’re insane. We’re both broken. We’ve got to figure our lives out.’ He wrote this verse and sent it to me: ‘Help me finish this song.’ I wrote a verse and sent it back to him. We were just basically texting at that point. We wrote this song, and I went in and sang on it.”
