Simon Cowell Reveals the Health Reason He Always Wears Sunglasses on AGT
The America's Got Talent: Fantasy League Judge had a logical reason for his accessory of choice.
America's Got Talent: Fantasy League Judge Simon Cowell often wears seriously cool shades on set, and recently informed fans the reasoning behind this stylistic choice.
The explanation is simple: He gets headaches. According to him, those bright lights on the AGT stage can get super intense.

On February 4, Cowell took to his official Instagram page to share a snapshot of himself wearing orange tinted sunglasses while filming AGT: Fantasy League, then hilariously compared the look to the eyes of a fly.
''I just found out according to the internet, I have a 'mystery illness'. For anyone concerned, I missed two auditions at the end of one day, two weeks ago, because I do get migraines after long days in the filming lights. Next week we are filming BGT in Manchester - I look forward to seeing you then. PS. This is why I wear these glasses!'' he explained in the post.

Simon Cowell loses his voice on AGT
This hasn't been the only time Cowell has gotten some minor health issues while filming.
For AGT Season 18, Cowell temporarily lost his voice, and was unable to speak during the fourth round of Auditions. Hilariously, he let Judge Sofia Vergara to handle the talking for him.
"Who would have thought that Season 18 would have left Simon literally speechless?" Vergara said to People. "And of course Simon nominated me to give his reactions. He's passing notes to me like we are back in school."
Judge Howie Mandel also found amusement in the situation. "There are no words to describe the excitement level of Season 18, That's why it's serendipitous that this is the season that Simon lost his voice finally," he joked to the outlet.
Meanwhile, Cowell himself managed to get some words out in a hoarse whisper. “I’m at a loss for words,” he cleverly responded.

But Cowell's life hasn't completely been filled with ailments lately, as he also recently got a new puppy! On January 11, he shared the sweetest picture of himself embracing his new German Shepard, Pebbles.
''Our family has had a new arrival ...'' he wrote in the caption.
Two days later, he then gave fans a rare glimpse of his 9-year-old son Eric, adorably playing with the doggy.
''LOVE'' Cowell simply captioned the post.
''Absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️,'' fellow AGT Judge Heidi Klum commented.
