While husband and wife share no children, their fur babies, Chief, Joy, and Ghost, were part of the wedding party (they’ve since adopted two more). (Mooney was there, too.)

Law has appeared in a handful of Dan + Shay music videos, including “Nothin’ Like You” and “10,000 Hours” featuring Justin Bieber.

The couple works closely with multiple organizations associated with animal rescue, including Wags & Walks Rescue Nashville and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. And let us add, the couple’s Christmas cards with their pooches are everything!

“I think Abby has given me such a great perspective and inspired me to enjoy the ride a little bit more...” Smyers gushed to People. "She continues to save my life every day, honestly. I can't say enough good things. She just has such a different outlook on life than I do."

Who is Shay Mooney's wife?

Mooney met Hannah Billingsley, a former Miss Arkansas, after she reportedly reached out to him on social media in March 2015, according to Arkansas Bride. Days later, they met at a lounge in Mooney’s native state while Dan + Shay were on tour.

“From the very first time I saw her, I knew I wanted to marry her...” Mooney told People. "She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me, so I had to lock it down. She’s my better — and much better-looking — half."

In January 2017, the couple welcomed their first child, Asher James. In October of that year, they tied the knot on Mooney’s family farm, against the backdrop of Arkansas’s rolling hills.

“Shay is everything I never knew I needed,” said Billingsley, per Arkansas Bride. “I truly never imagined being with a man in the music industry, so it took me some time to come around. But God had other plans. Shay was and is patient as the day is long and makes me laugh at every turn. He’s my person.”

Then-9-month-old Asher and Smyers were part of the couple’s nuptials.

The Mooneys welcomed their second son, Ames Alexander, in February 2020 and a third baby boy, Abram Shay Mooney, in January 2023.

"I love this man so much. And I’ve never been more proud of the husband, father, and leader he has become..." Billingsley wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Mooney holding their newborn. "As life gets busier and the world grows louder, I just wanted to take my minute to let you know just how proud I am of you. The boys and I are so thankful you’re ours."

When not with her three sons, Billingsley hosts Unexpected with Hannah Love, a faith-based podcast about God calling unexpected people to do extraordinary things.
