Could there be a sweeter couple than John Legend and Chrissy Teigen?

The longtime The Voice Coach and his multi-talented wife recently renewed their vows for the 10 year anniversary of their wedding in Italy. And in her speech to Legend, Teigen paid him the highest compliment... by thanking his family. Warning: this might make you misty-eyed.

Chrissy Teigen's "corny" 10th anniversary speech about John Legend

Talking to Drew Barrymore, the Cravings author revealed that when she and her husband tied the knot on September 14, 2013 in Lake Como, Italy, she didn't write her own vows "because [she] was so nervous." Since that had "driven [her] crazy" ever since, Teigen made sure to write something original for their vow renewal celebration, which also took place in Lake Como in fall 2023. And what she came up with was pretty darn perfect.

"I made sure to write my vows, and I looked down at his family, and I just graciously thanked them for creating such an incredible being," Teigen told the talk show host, closing her eyes to remember. "Is that so corny?" she asked.

Teigen also revealed that the secret to her long-lasting marriage is simply, "I found someone really great. Our biggest battles are just trying to get our kids to get along together." The pair are parents to four children: Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren.

John and Chrissy loved their vow renewal

Though she clearly found the experience very meaningful, Teigen initially dismissed the idea of doing something so formal to celebrate a decade of marriage.

"I didn't want it to be a vow renewal. I come from the world of Real Housewives, and a vow renewal is the kiss of death," she told People. She eventually changed her mind, and is so glad she did. "It was really special. I just feel so lucky and so blessed and in all the corniest of terms. It was so sweet and amazing."

Coach John loved it, too. "We wrote speeches for each other where we reflected on our love, our 10 years of being married and the family we've grown. It was really a beautiful celebration. It really was a magical time," the "All of Me" singer told the same outlet. "I think the biggest difference between our wedding and our anniversary celebration was the fact that we have four kids now, so being able to celebrate it with them there was pretty amazing...We got pretty emotional just seeing them there."
