This Is Us Earns 12 Hollywood Critics Association Award Nominations

Awards season is upon us, and the sixth and final season of This Is Us is being recognized.

The Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) TV Awards announced their nominations on July 7, and the NBC drama earned 12 nods in seven different categories including Best Writing, Directing, Best Broadcast Network Drama Series, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

"Dang-thanks," Mandy Moore (Rebecca) wrote in her Insta Stories about her Best Actress nomination. She also reacted to the show's many other nominations, offering congratulations to her co-stars. 

In celebration of her own Best Supporting Actress nomination, Chrissy Metz wrote on Instagram, "WOW. Thank you so much for these #HCATVAwards nominations, @hollywoodcriticsassociation," she said. "It’s such an honor to be nominated not only as an actor, but as a writer too. @dwindsor789 & @getcaseyj; couldn’t do it without you and Dan Fogelman; also special congrats to Dan for one of the most beautiful episodes of television ever written. Congratulations to all of the fellow nominees, especially our @nbcthisisus family for their 12 total nods!! ❤️"

Susan Kelechi Watson also got nominated for Best Supporting Actress. "Ahhhh look at this extraordinary company...and peep that beauty on the upper left. @chrissymetz 👀. Thank you @hollywoodcriticsassociation for the all the nominations today. So proud of the entire #ThisIsUs fam!" she wrote on Instagram.

We'll find out the results when the HCA's Broadcast Network and Cable TV Awards ceremony is held on August 13 and the Streaming Awards ceremony is on August 14.
