Susan Kelechi Watson stars as Beth Pearson in the award-winning and critically acclaimed hit NBC drama "This Is Us."

Watson was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards, as well as for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 NAACP Image Awards. The cast earned two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Watson will executive produce and star in the highly anticipated HBO special "Between the World and Me," based on the bestselling book and Apollo Theatre stage play of the same title, all by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Watson was instrumental in bringing this award-winning piece of material to the screen, helping to cast an ensemble that includes Mahershala Ali, Yara Shahidi, Kendrick Sampson, Janet Mock, Angela Davis, Alicia Garza and Oprah Winfrey. "Between the World and Me" is scheduled to premiere in November 2020.

Watson's first foray into producing was for the film "Premature," which debuted at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and debuted on IFC in early 2020.

Watson starred opposite Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys in the 2019 Marielle Heller-directed film "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood," which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival. 

 She has appeared in numerous television series, including three seasons of HBO's "Louie" as the title character's ex-wife, Janet. She also had recurring roles in the NBC drama "The Blacklist" as well as the HBO series "Divorce." Additional television credits include "Billions," "Veep," "Limitless," "Blue Bloods," "Happyish," "Third Watch," "NCIS" and "The Following."

Watson's film credits include period drama "Peter and John," starring Jacqueline Bisset, and the indie "Small, Beautifully Moving Parts."

She currently serves on the board of Drama Club, an organization that uses theater to mentor incarcerated youths in New York City. Started in 2013, Drama Club's mission is to provide theater and positive mentor relationships to youth throughout each step of their journey through the criminal justice system. Watson is also a proud Epic NEXT youth development mentor with the Epic Theatre Ensemble, a professional theater company with a mission to promote vital civic discourse and social change through drama.
