Saturday Night Live will return on October 14, 2023, kicking off its 49th season since the sketch show first premiered on October 11, 1975.

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.  

SNL is the most Emmy-nominated show of all time (314 and counting!), and Season 49 is sure to deliver the hilarious sketches and quotable characters that fans are eager for each year. With the season premiering ahead of the 2024 presidential election, you can also almost certainly expect cold opens featuring dead-on impressions of political figures, and maybe—if history serves—a surprise cameo or two.

When does SNL Season 49 start? 

Saturday Night Live Season 49 premieres on Saturday, October 14, at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and simulcast on Peacock.

Who is in the Saturday Night Live Season 49 Cast?

Wonderful news: SNL's entire Season 48 cast is returning for Season 49!

The show is adding one new cast member in 2023: Featured player Chloe Troast.

Standup comedian and performer Troast will also appear in Please Don't Destroy's November movie on Peacock, Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain alongside cast members Bowen Yang and Michael Longfellow. 

Who will be the Saturday Night Live Season 49 Hosts and musical guests? 

Pete Davidson will Host the October 14 premiere, after his Season 48 Hosting date was canceled due to the WGA strike. Ice Spice will be the musical guest. 

Singer and rapper Bad Bunny will pull double duty as Host and musical guest on October 21.
