Deal or No Deal Island is set to bring back all we loved about the beloved OG series: high stakes competition, millions of dollars in prize money, and of course the elusive Banker. But this time, it's upping the stakes by bringing contestants to a mysterious tropical locale where they'll compete against each other in a series of intense challenges.

When does Deal or No Deal Island premiere?

Deal or No Deal Island will premiere with a 90-minute special at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024. Following this supersized first episode, subsequent episodes will air on its regularly scheduled timeslot starting on Monday, March 4 at 10 p.m.

Is Howie Mandel hosting Deal or No Deal Island?

No, Mandel is not returning as Host. However, he is executive producing the series. Instead, Joe Manganiello will be taking over the reigns and hosting Deal or No Deal Island.

“The role of Deal or No Deal host has always been held by someone charming, hilarious and devastatingly handsome,” Corie Henson, NBCUniversal Entertainment's executive vice president of unscripted content said in a statement. “When we took the show out of the studio and transported the game to the Banker’s island, Joe was the obvious choice. He loves all kinds of games, lives for adventure and isn’t afraid to stare down a snake or two to help players win a life-changing payday and, hopefully, beat the Banker at his own game.”

In the series' new format, Manganiello will be "leading the game play, relaying the banker’s tempting offers and helping [contestants] through the toughest decisions of their lives," according to a press release.  

What is Deal or No Deal Island, and how does it work?

The new spin on the classic game show will involve 13 players who are sent to the Banker's private island to compete in a season-long competition.

The iconic briefcases are back, but this time they'll be hidden around the Banker's island. They will hold millions is prize money that contestants can split amongst each other.

NBC's press release says, "In each episode, players vie to get their hands on the highest-value briefcase for a chance to gain immunity and choose a fellow player to enter The Temple, where they must play a high-stakes game of Deal or No Deal. The devious Banker is always watching and will raise the stakes with tests of strategy and greed. At the end of the season, the last player standing will face the Banker to potentially win the biggest prize in Deal or No Deal history."
