Kunal Nayyar's early life
The British-American actor was born in London but grew up in New Delhi, India. His family moved to the U.S. and he only started acting in college to make friends, according to IMDb. Big Bang breakthrough and other roles
Nayyar nabbed the role of socially awkward scientist Raj Koothrappali on the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, which ran for a whopping 279 episodes and racked up five consecutive SAG Awards nominations for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Comedy Series. He currently voices Guy Diamond in the long-running Trolls movie franchise and has a role in the upcoming Adam Sandler space drama Spaceman.
In 2011, Nayyar wed model and pageant queen Neha Kapur.

NBC's new Night Court is a reboot of the classic '80s sitcom, and it stars Melissa Rauch as Judge Abby Stone. Rauch was also a cast member on The Big Bang Theory, joining the ensemble in the third season in the role of Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz. So this is a fun reunion! When Night Court first premiered, Nayyar celebrated Rauch on Instagram, writing, "This gem of a human being @melissarauch has worked tirelessly to bring this to the screen.
