How to Watch

Watch the Season 19 premiere of America’s Got Talent Tuesday, May 28 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock

We first met Mike Yung on America's Got Talent Season 12, when he was a subway singer hoping to make it big. But his whirlwind journey hasn't ended with the NBC competition show. Please see: This recent interaction he had with pop icon Ed Sheeran!

While performing for commuters on the NYC subway in April, Yung delivered a rousing a cappella rendition of Sheeran's new single, "Eyes Closed." The 62-year-old's performance was so impressive that he caught the attention of...Ed Sheeran himself.

Yes! Yung was delightfully shocked to learn Sheeran was listening in on the subway session. The "Shape of You" singer was in NYC for his sold-out show at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn when he stumbled upon Yung's set. Yung was ecstatic about the cosmic happenstance but was even more thrilled after Sheeran started performing an impromptu duet with him.

Watch for yourself in the video, below.

Sheeran and Yung sounded incredible weaving their voices together. On April 11, Yung took to Instagram to share the exciting meet-up, posting a series of photos that reveal Sheeran also gifted him tickets to his concert later that night. "Thanks for the tickets bro the show was Amazing🔥🔥💫@teddysphotos," Yung captioned the heartfelt IG post.

Talk about a successful day on the subway!
