Stella's Evolution From Firefighter to Lieutenant | NBC's Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire's fan-favorite couple, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), have been going strong throughout Season 11.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 13 premiere of Chicago Fire Wednesday, September 25 at 9/8c on NBC

There's been mutual support between the two characters, career progress within Firehouse 51, and, of course, some steamy moments. Stella and Severide have even been able to work on cases together, proving that their power as fire investigators echoes their compatibility as life partners.

After such a lovely wedding and ongoing honeymoon phase, fans can't get enough of the good vibes between the couple. But Chi-Hards know that what comes up often comes burning down, and they're curious to see what obstacles may await Stellaride. And rest assured, obstacles are coming.

In an interview with TV Insider, co-showrunner Andrea Newman revealed, “These two love each other with everything they’ve got and support each other through thick and thin. But there will be a few big wrenches thrown their way as the season progresses, so we’ll have to see how they handle those.”

As One Chicago fans are well aware, big wrenches in the Windy City can do a lot of damage. But will Stella and Severide be able to navigate through the fog? After all, they've seen their fair share of challenges already throughout their slow-burning relationship, so we're confident they can weather any storm. Only time will tell how that plays out, exactly.

To find out what happens to Stellaride next, be sure to watch Chicago Fire on NBC Wednesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock.
