American Ninja Warrior 2022 is here.

Yes, ANW is back for Season 14, and the competition is just as intense as ever. Once again we'll see Ninjas from all across the country compete for a chance at the $1 million prize. And with last year's switch-up that lowered the age of qualified athletes to 15, the competition is even steeper.

Below, read everything you need to know about what to expect from American Ninja Warrior in 2022.

How does American Ninja Warrior in 2022 work?

ANW 2022 will take place over the course of 12 episodes that follow three different rounds of competition. Each round has a new course that comes with its own unique set of obstacles, including classics like the Warped Wall, Ring Toss, or Flying Bar.

Where does American Ninja Warrior film?

  • 5 Qualifying Episodes - San Antonio Alamo Dome: 6 obstacles
  • 4 Semi-Final Episodes - Los Angeles: 10 obstacles
  • 4 National Final Episodes - Las Vegas: 4 obstacles

In order to advance to the Semi-Finals, the top 30-35 Ninjas must either complete all six Qualifying obstacles, have a quick qualifying time, or make it far enough on the course that they rank on the leaderboard. According to rules established in 2017, the five highest-ranking women (regardless of their place in competition) will automatically advance to the Semi-Final.

The top 15 Ninjas who either complete all 10 obstacles in the Semi-Finals or get through as much of the course as possible in the fastest time advance to the National Final. And no matter their place in competition, the two highest placing women automatically advance as well.

How do you win American Ninja Warrior 2022?

Once the Ninjas make it the National Finals, they must fully complete all four obstacles in order to win the title of Champion and take home the $1 million prize. If no one completes the courses, then the Last Ninja Standing takes home $100,000. In the history of the show, only two competitors have earned the title of Champion.

Watch American Ninja Warrior on NBC Mondays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock.
