Kara Killmer, Miranda Rae Mayo, and Hanako Greensmith Just Reunited for a Workout

Chicago Fire Season 11 is upon us!

By Tayi Sanusi
Miranda Rae Mayo (L) and Kara Kilmer arrive on the red carpet at the 3rd Annual Chicago Press Day in Chicago.

It looks like the ladies of Chicago Fire aren’t just back on set: They’re also back in the gym! Actress Kara Killmer, who plays paramedic Sylvie Brett, recently posted a series of Instagram Stories featuring some very familiar faces.

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

The first clip features Killmer walking through a hallway, getting energized to one of the most epic pump-up jams ever, "2001: A Space Odyssey" by London Symphony Orchestra.

Chicago Fire training is about to begin,” reads the caption. Let’s face it: Sometimes we all need a little help to get in the zone.

Killmer is joined by her costars Hanako Greensmith (Violet) and Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella). If there’s one thing that makes time in the gym pass a little faster, it’s definitely having friends come along. The trio expertly works through everything from single-leg squats to some impressive-looking medicine ball-assisted sit-ups.

Chicago Fire Women Working Out

Considering all the strenuous physical labor involved in recreating believable fire rescue scenarios, it makes sense that the cast needs to be in tip-top shape.

It’s also so great to see how much these hardworking ladies support each other while still making time for plenty of laughs.

In one iconic slide (see above), Killmer filmed Mayo doing some improvised dancing while doing a solo workout. "And then there was improvisation," Killmer captioned the clip. Working out with these three might actually make hitting the gym fun!

Catch past seasons of Chicago Fire on Peacock and on NBC. The Season 11 premiere is Wednesday, September 21 at 9/8c on NBC.
