The action has been heating up on Chicago Fire. But unfortunately for those waiting on the edge of their seats, they'll need to wait a little longer to find out what happens.

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

We last checked in on Firehouse 51 as Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) investigated a strange fire at a stable while Kylie dealt with the ongoing tensions of departmental budget cuts. Meanwhile, Cindy's (Robyn Coffin) battle with cancer has been challenging, with Herrmann (David Eigenberg) becoming increasingly concerned as her condition worsens.

With so much up in the air, it's safe to say viewers are eager to learn what's coming down the pipeline. Here's what you need to know about when new Chicago Fire episodes will be back and your questions will be answered.

Chicago Fire (as well as Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med) will not release new episodes during the weeks of March 8 or March 15, 2023. The hiatus is the perfect opportunity to catch up with your favorite firefighters on Peacock.

When will new Chicago Fire episodes return?

New Chicago Fire episodes return on March 22. The next one is Season 11, Episode 16. Here's a synopsis: "Cruz feels the burden of his increased responsibilities; Kidd, Gallo, and Carver get caught in the middle of a gang war on a call; Herrmann wrangles Trudy for help lifting Cindy's mood."

On the topic of Cindy, Chicago Fire's co-showrunner Andrea Newman told NBC Insider, "It is going to be a rough road for the whole Herrmann family as Cindy battles lung cancer. There's a tough fight ahead, with no shortcuts or easy solutions, but the Herrmann family, and the 51 families, will come together to help in all sorts of ways as the situation progresses."
