Blake Shelton and his former mentee reunited this weekend!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

On October 1, Shelton and The Voice Season 22 Winner Bryce Leatherwood got together for an epic performance at Shelton's Bar, Ole Red, in Orlando. There they sang a badass rendition of Shelton's 2011 tune "Hillbilly Bone."

In a clip posted to Leatherwood's official Instagram page, we see the crowd chanting with the two while Shelton and Leatherwood crooned in unison with some passionate country twang. Then, Leatherwood sang super low notes, with Shelton jumping back in during the chorus.

"Always an honor getting to share the stage with the king himself @blakeshelton What an incredible night in Orlando Florida at @olered," Leatherwood wrote.

Bryce Leatherwood talks about working with Blake Shelton on The Voice

Leatherwood sang "Goodbye Time" by Conway Twitty for his Blind Audition and received a chair-turn from Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend

"I wanted to get my push in before you got to the chorus, because you already hit the two tough notes. I was blown away, and what a great country name. Leatherwood," Shelton told Leatherwood during his feedback.

Unsurprisingly, Leatherwood chose to go with Team Blake as his Coach, which ended up being a wise choice for him, as he was declared the Winner of Season 22 on December 13, 2022.

In an interview with NBC Insider, Leatherwood opened up about how Shelton helped him achieve this title. "Having Blake as a mentor and a friend has been a dream come true. Truly, who he is on camera is who he is off camera. That is Blake Shelton. He is 100 percent who he is in the flesh…We had so many incredible moments together, funny laughs and jokes and stories.  I think the biggest thing I’ll take away from Blake is his commitment to his Artists. He loves his team. We had such a great team this year with team Blake. The powerhouse team that was!" he told us.

Leatherwood also talked about how the experience on the show affirmed his ambitions. "Even before The Voice, I was sure this is what I wanted to do. I took a leap of faith when it came to trying to find a way into this crazy, big business. I took a leap of faith, and look where it got me! Any Artist out there who’s wanting to do this for the rest of their lives, try out for something like this. Do something like this. Or go to an open mic night and put yourself out there. It’s not ‘gonna feel comfortable at first. But over time, you’ll grow," he said.
