Ariana Grande Does a Britney Spears Impression That'll Shock You

The former Voice Coach's turn on The Tonight Show's "Wheel of Musical Impressions" is the gift that keeps on giving.

Ariana Grande possesses a jaw-dropping vocal range, and acting talent to boot—both of which will be on display when she portrays Glinda in the 2024 film adaptation of Wicked. She's also a gifted celebrity impersonator, and we'll never, ever be over her Britney Spears impression.

How to Watch

Watch The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC weeknights at 11:35/10:35c and next day on Peacock

The former The Voice Coach mixed a smidgen of Spears' vocal stylings into her version of "Oops!...I Did It Again" on That's My Jam, while competing in a 2022 round of "Mixtape Medley" against Kelly Clarkson. But that wasn't the first time Grande wowed audiences with her ability to channel the pop legend.

Back in 2015, the singer's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon went viral due to a "Wheel of Musical Impressions" game that's received 169 million views on YouTube to date.

Her first challenge? Sing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" in the style of Britney Spears. While Grande's imitation lasted just a few bars before she pronounced "that's enough," it was (SO) lovingly accurate.

To Fallon and the Tonight Show audience's amazement, Grande went on to casually reveal killer impressions of Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion.

A year later, the "Positions" singer would share her best Britney Spears and Celine Dion vocals once again—along with equally-incredible impressions of Shakira, Whitney Houston, and Jennifer Lawrence—as Host of Saturday Night Live.

We'd love to hear Grande's Spears impression again, as soon as possible...or (dare to dream!) a duet between Ariana Grande and Britney Spears herself.
