Britain's Got Talent Season 3 runner-up Susan Boyle did one of the jazz greats justice when she covered ''What a Wonderful World'' by Louis Armstrong as the starting track for her 2016 album, fittingly titled A Wonderful World.

How to Watch

Boyle's version is made complete with airy vocals before some gentle piano notes and strings accompanied her. She then told the story with her voice in a dreamy tone before hitting a gorgeous crescendo.

In a 2019 interview with People, Boyle opened up about what she loves so much about performing. “I’m in my own little bubble on the stage, conveying a story and it really is my happy place,” she told the outlet. “I get great enjoyment making the audience happy. My career has never been about earning money or really even chart positions, I just love to be on stage and singing."

What to know about ''What a Wonderful World'' by Louis Armstrong

Now one of Armstrong's most well-known songs, ''What a Wonderful World'' did not originally chart in the U.S. upon its 1967 release due to little promotion. However, it rose in popularity when it was featured in the 1988 film Good Morning Vietnam. In 2015, it was honored with the Songwriter Hall of Fame’s Towering Song Award.

''What a Wonderful World,” like so many songs that resonate in perpetuity with the masses, expresses simple ideas in a simply constructed piece,'' American Songwriter wrote of the tune in 2020.

Other cover versions of ''What a Wonderful World'' include those by Willie Nelson, Roy Clark, Nick Cave, Joey Ramone, Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, and more.

''What a Wonderful World'' by Louis Armstrong lyrics

I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

Susan Boyle performing on stage.

The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying
I love you

I hear babies cry
I watch them grow
They'll learn much more
Than I'll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
