I'm crying.

Mikami Tries to Revive Hawkins | NBC’s Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire has supplied us with some gut-wrenching moments this season. Exhibit A: In the third episode of Season 11, the brave Evan Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas) was tragically killed when a building collapsed on him, leaving behind his girlfriend, Violet Mikami.

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Violet was clearly devastated to say goodbye to Hawkins, and it looks like Hanako Greensmith, who plays Mikami, will miss him equally as much. In a sweet series of photos posted to Greensmith’s Instagram account, she paid homage to the time the two had on the series together.

The first photo showed a tense moment from the show of Hawkins on the job, and then Greensmith posted some stills of the couple eyeing each other from across the room at a dinner party. Then, we got an exclusive backstage look of her and Nicholas confidently posing and smiling together in front of a Chicago Fire Truck.

To make things even cuter and more intimate, she posted a hilarious mirror selfie of them slathered in shaving cream inside their trailer. She also included a bittersweet snapshot of Nicholas pointing at the camera playfully, and one of him smiling inside the fire truck. And to finish things off, we then see a photo of Nicholas peacefully standing in front of a tree on a sunny day.

“What a year. Scenes have been so quiet without you @jimmynicks. ️‍🩹 Love you.” Greensmith captioned in a heartfelt message.

Although Chicago Fire won’t be the same without Evan Hawkins, there will still be plenty of action-packed moments to tune into. Watch Chicago Fire on NBC Wednesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock.
