Chapel Hart Somehow Outdid Themselves with a Stunning Encore of “American Pride”

Chapel Hart returned to the AGT: Fantasy League stage for redemption with their song "American Pride."

By Shameika Rhymes

Another fan favorite made their way back to the stage by way of America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League. Chapel Hart made another triumphant return after winning the hearts of fans on a previous AGT season. This time, with the help of their mentor, Simon Cowell, they gave an old favorite song another chance at greatness.

How to Watch

Watch America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League on NBC and Peacock.

Chapel Hart is a family trio made up of sisters Danica Hart, Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle. The country singers were drafted by Cowell for his Dream Team and he suggested they sing their original song "American Pride."

“We feel like this is our moment of redemption,” the group explained.

They originally sang the song during an emotional performance on America’s Got Talent but, sadly, it wasn't enough to propel them to the win. They redeemed themselves during Fantasy League with the song and Simon said, “you absolutely nailed it.” They also received a standing ovation from both the four judges and the audience.

All About Chapel Hart’s song “American Pride”

"It meant so much to us, the walls had come down,” the Chapel Hart trio said about singing their original song on AGT the first time around. The song urges Americans to overcome division and stand together.

"I know that we can do this / Hold hands and step aside / Let love pour out between us / Move the hate and let's just try / See, I believe we'll make a difference / One person at a time / Come on now, I can feel it / My American pride," the lyrics state.

It’s also a patriotic song for the men and women who serve our country.

The group first appeared on America’s Got Talent’s Season 17. Like many who have made their way back for AGT: Fantasy League, they earned the famous Golden Buzzer after performing their original song, “You Can Have Him Jolene,” a fun take on the famous Dolly Parton song "Jolene." In fact, Dolly herself even commented on the performance on social media shortly after the clip went viral.

They went on to earn a spot in the finals after performing their original song, "The Girls Are Back in Town."

Chapel Hart performed a cover of Bonnie Raitt's "Something to Talk About" with Darius Rucker but they were ultimately eliminated from the competition. However, that was far from the end of their continued career in country music.

What is Chapel Hart doing now?

Chapel Hart debuted at the Grand Ole Opry in 2022. They were also personally requested by Loretta Lynn to write the single “Welcome to Fist City” before she died. They also appear on Darius Rucker’s album Carolyn’s Boy. They have their own album called Glory Days that’s out now.

At the end of 2023, they released a single called “2033.” They are still on the road performing but dropped everything to join Cowell's Dream Team on AGT: Fantasy League to take another shot at the stage where it all began for them.

Tune in every Monday at 8/7c on NBC to watch AGT: Fantasy League. If you can’t watch the show live, new episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
