Kelly Clarkson Hit the Most Joyous High Notes Covering Rihanna's We Found Love

Kelly Clarkson is back at it again with another Rihanna cover. On November 14, she rocked The Kelly Clarkson Show with her powerful rendition of “We Found Love." 

When the song started, the guitars kicked in with some precise, upbeat notes. “Yellow diamonds in the light, now we're standing side by side, as your shadow crosses mine, what it takes to come alive,” she sang the track's imaginative lyrics with passion.

“It's the way I'm feeling I just can't deny, but I've gotta let it go,” she then sang, building up to the chorus and finishing up the section with an enthusiastic “Hey!” to encourage the audience.

When the chorus hit with the song’s signature repeating, “We found love in a hopeless place” lyrics, Clarkson sang in front of some quickly-flashing purple lights.

“Shine a light through an open door, love and life I will divide, turn away 'cause I need you more, feel the heartbeat in my mind,” she then riffed and belted her heart out with the second verse before hopping into the chorus again. The song then ended on one strong, confident beat as the audience roared with applause.

Like we said, this hasn’t been Clarkson's only Rihanna cover. On November 7, 2022, she performed a rendition of “Umbrella” and gave it an edgy twist with intense, rhythmic drums.
