Breaking down that emotional rollercoaster of a Save.

Steven McMorran vs. Morgan Myles on Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" | The Voice Battles 2022

Camila Cabello's first Battle on The Voice was masterfully done. She pitted vocal powerhouses Morgan Myles and Steven McMorran against each other and had them perform the ultimate pop-belt tune: Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball."

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

They both crushed it, obviously. In fact, they were so good, it was hard to even predict who won the Battle. Ultimately, Cabello gave the round to Myles, but she did something surprising at the end: She used her only Save on McMorran, keeping him in the competition.

"I can't sleep peacefully knowing that we have not cracked the code yet," Cabello said. "That moment for you, that sign."

She continued, "I only get one Save, and I see something in Steven that I want others to see."

McMorran, of course, was grateful for the second chance to stay in the game. "The fact that Camila used her one Save on me has me feeling pretty humbled," he said.

"You saved me, thank you," fans saw McMorran tell Cabello in the episode, shortly after she told him that he was "killing the game."

And indeed, McMorran did kill his Battle Round. So did Myles. (John Legend called them both "really good singers.") That's what made Cabello's decision so difficult.

"You sang the hell out of that thing, dude," Blake Shelton told McMorran. "You really did. Nothing about that could have been simple."

But how much further will McMorran make it in the race? To find out, watch The Voice on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock.
