Based on Carson Daly's recent Instagram, it looks like The Voice knows how to throw a great surprise birthday party.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Daly, who hosts the long-running NBC music competition show, took to IG to thank his co-workers for throwing him and Coach Blake Shelton the perfect birthday celebration. And he also gave an update on how new Coach Camila Cabello is doing. (Cabello and Gwen Stefani will join John Legend and Shelton as Coaches for The Voice Season 22.)

"Thank you to my @nbcthevoice family for celebrating my birthday & @blakeshelton’s yesterday at work," Daly captioned his birthday photo carousel. "Also to my wife @siriouslydelicious for shocking me by flying across the country for less than 24 hrs to spend it with me. Love you ❤️ Shout to our brand new coach @camila_cabello for immediately becoming family & crushing it on the show! Can’t wait for you all to see it...The talent is maybe the best I’ve ever seen so far…🙌🏼🎤🎸🎹."

Season 22 of The Voice will return to NBC this fall. The season comes just months after Cabello released her third studio album, Familia, arguably her most vulnerable work yet.

“The whole journey of [the album] for me was being able to be in a room where I feel like I just tapped into really being vulnerable and really being honest,” Cabello told Rolling Stone. “And talking about things that I have gone through that I never spoke about before was really healing for me. It just made me so much more open and vulnerable in my friendships, and then in my performances, and then in my interviews. It had this domino effect on every other area of my life.”
