Taylor Kinney Returns to Chicago Fire with a Romantic Stellaride Kiss: See New Video

After a lot of will-they-won't-they, the firehouse's most adored couple is on again.

As we anxiously await the return of the One Chicago shows — Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med — the latest teaser trailer is giving us one more reason it can't come soon enough: Stellaride.

What happened between Severide and Stella in Season 11

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide's (Taylor Kinney) fate was up in the air after Severide left in the middle of Season 11 to go on to a prestigious arson training program. It was never meant to be a permanent departure, but still, a married couple so far apart gave fans pause.

In Season 11, Episode 21 ("Change of Plans"), Kidd discovered that the program was over, but her husband hasn't even brought up the idea of returning. In the next episode (Episode 22, "Red Waterfall"), she declared, "I am taking the next few shifts off. I'm going to get my husband and bring him back to Chicago."

Severide and Kidd Decide to Get Married Even Sooner | NBC’s Chicago Fire

The just-released look at the return of Chicago Wednesdays (all three series premieres are on January 17) promises heart-pounding drama and gut-wrenching emotion across the Windy City. In the final five seconds, it's confirmed that Severide is officially back as he and Kidd have a serious talk in the firehouse.

Severide tells his wife, "I'm here. We're in this together," and then leans forward to give her a peck.

Though we don't hear from her in the teaser, Kidd is happy to be back at work. Or at least, Mayo is. She tossed fans a crumb of behind the scenes content on Instagram, waving and smiling on her way to the snack table. As the caption says, "Your favorite Lieutenant popping in to say hi #ChicagoFire." Hi!
