Shannon was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2001. It was on this show that she created the popular character Mary Katherine Gallagher, a Catholic school student with dreams of becoming a famous musician. This spawned the 1999 movie Superstar and catapulted Shannon to another arena of success.
Shannon has enjoyed a wonderful career since Saturday Night Live, starring in movies like Other People and Promising Young Woman and appearing in TV shows like The Other Two and The White Lotus
She first hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2007 then made a return during a 2010 episode. It's been a while since Shannon's been on the SNL stage, and fans are more than ready for her return.
“Oh, my gosh. Well, of course I would. Yes. I would say yes,” Shannon told IndieWire earlier this year when asked if she would host SNL again. “It’s funny, but I forget live variety, it’s exhilarating but it’s also hard. It’s like, five, four, three, two, go. Sometimes when I think about that, I think, ‘Oh my god, you’d have to be kind of crazy.’ You know? It’s like a gymnastics routine or something. It’s just feels like high stakes the way it’s like a mountain climber would feel or some type of adrenaline junkie.”

Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas (a former Voice Coach) comprise the Jonas Brothers, a pop-rock boy band who captivated the Disney set in the mid-2000s. In 2009, they took a breather and went on to complete other music projects—Joe, notably, is in the group DNCE. But eventually they found their way back to each other. They released their fifth studio album, Happiness Begins, in 2019, and their sixth LP, The Album, is coming on May 12, 2023.
