Saturday Night Live is making a much-anticipated return! The long-running series is premiering its whopping 48th season this fall. Here's everything you need to know about what's to come: 

When does Saturday Night Live Season 48 premiere?

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.  

Saturday Night Live Season 48 premieres Saturday, October 1 at 11:30/10:30c on NBC; it will also be simulcasted live on Peacock. The premiere episode will be followed by two new episodes of SNL on October 8 and October 15.

Who is in the Saturday Night Live Season 48 cast?

In September, it was announced four new Featured Players were added to the cast: Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker. A full cast list for Saturday Night Live Season 48 will be released in due course. 

Hernandez is a comedian, writer and actor of Cuban/Dominican descent. He was selected as a Just for Laughs New Face of Comedy in 2022.  Kearney was selected for Comedy Central’s “Up Next” showcase in 2019. They can be seen in Amazon’s A League of Their Own and Disney+’s The Mighty DucksLongfellow has been featured on Netflix’s Introducing ... showcase and NBC’s Bring the Funny. He was also selected as one of TBS’s “Comics to Watch” for the 2017 New York Comedy Festival. Walker was selected for Comedy Central’s “Up Next” showcase in 2017. He has written for Freeform’s Everything’s Trash and Netflix’s Big Mouth.

In May 2022, it was announced Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney were leaving the show

How can I watch Saturday Night Live Season 48? 

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c and next day on Peacock; as mentioned, the premiere episode will also air live on Peacock. All previous seasons of Saturday Night Live are available to stream on Peacock, too.

Who will the Saturday Night Live Season 48 Hosts and musical guests be? 

NBC Insider will keep you posted all season as that news comes through. Here is the lineup for Season 48's first three weeks: 

October 1: Miles Teller, Kendrick Lamar

October 8: Brendan Gleeson, Willow

What can I expect from Saturday Night Live Season 48? 

Celebrity Hosts, hilarious sketches—the works. The show is coming off a banner Season 47 that saw Hosts like Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian light up the internet with viral sketches. 

Season 48 cast members Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim stopped by the TODAY studio to chat about the Hosts of SNL's upcoming season, and they seem just as amped for the hilarity as fans are. 

When discussing who they're most excited to see host, Nwodim said Megan The Stallion, who will pull double-duty for the October 15 episode. "Hosting and doing musical guest is an incredible thing to be able to do," Nwodim explains. "I did a sketch with [Megan] when she did music two seasons ago, 'The Bottom of Your Face' sketch. I'm so excited for her to be back."

When asked who the cast members would love to see host during Season 48, Gardner said Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, Nwodim says she'd love to have Jamie Foxx return to Studio 8H, as well as see Quinta Brunson and Keke Palmer host for the first time.
