The Premiere Dates for NBC's Fall 2022 Shows Have Been Announced (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Wednesday, June 29 at 2:30 p.m. ET The wait for NBC’s incredible fall lineup is almost over. On Wednesday, June 29, the network announced exactly when all its new and returning shows will be premiering this fall, and it all kicks off Thursday, September 8 with some football. Premieres will keep rolling consistently throughout that month, ending with the highly-anticipated return of La Brea Season 2 on Tuesday, September 27. Two of NBC’s comedies, Lopez vs. Lopez and Young Rock, are set to premiere Friday, November 4. Below, see the complete list of when NBC’s fall shows will air:

Thursday, September 8: 

8:15-11:30 p.m. ET   Sunday Night Football: NFL Kickoff Game (Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams) 

Friday, September 9: 

8-10 p.m. ET  – Capital One College Bowl (Back-to-back episodes this night only) 

Sunday, September 11:

NBC has revealed its exciting 2022-2023 fall schedule, and we're ready to pop some popcorn. While longstanding shows like The Voice and America's Got Talent will be returning to the network, NBC is introducing some new titles that have us ready for fall. As soon as those temperatures drop, you can find NBC audiences snuggling up to watch their fall-time favorites. 

The fall schedule is typically trademarked by Dick Wolf drama staples like Law & Order and Chicago Fire, but the network has also added some lighthearted libations on Friday nights, like Lopez vs. Lopez, a new comedy starring George Lopez, and the return of Young Rock starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. There is absolutely something for everyone. Lopez vs. Lopez:

"A working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between." (Starring: George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively, Laci Mosley, and Kiran Deol.) 

Night Court (coming soon):

"Unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone, the daughter of the late Harry Stone, follows in her father’s footsteps as she presides over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to its crew of oddballs and cynics, most notably former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding." (Starring: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette, India de Beaufort, Kapil Talwalkar, and Lacretta.) 

New drama shows: 

Quantum Leap:

"It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it." (Starring: Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee.) 

New unscripted shows: 

Million Dollar Island (coming soon): 

"A high-stakes social experiment in which 100 contestants must forge friendships and build alliances as they plot to stay on a remote desert island for up to 50 days and compete to win their share of the ultimate $1 million prize. Upon arrival each contestant is given a bracelet worth $10,000. During their time on the island, contestants gain and lose bracelets through various challenges, but when a player leaves the island, they must choose who will receive their portion of the money. In this intense competition, the strength of your personal bonds are just as important as being the ultimate player. "
