John Legend made his way to Coachella this weekend, joining a star-studded lineup of energetic acts that had the crowd going wild.

On April 14, The Voice alum joined Metro Boomin onstage for a mind-blowing set from the iconic producer's Heroes & Villains album. A project with that title demands some impressive acts, and Metro—who'a renowned for his affinity for surprise musical guests—didn't mess around or dissappoitn with the setlist.

Legend, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Diddy, and the Weeknd all joined Metro's mind-boggling performance. The formed Voice Coach performed alongside Metro for their 2022 single, "On Time."

As usual, Legend sounded stunning, allowing his passion to take the spotlight as much as his soulful pipes. While the full performance is not yet available to watch online, Legend took to Instagram to share a brief clip from the set. His voice is nothing short of angelic, and even in the live venue, he impressed the crowd with his mesmerizing vocals.

"Loved supporting my brother @metroboomin at @coachella," Legend captioned the post. "A legendary show! #trochella" Fans swarmed the post with loving support, with many saying Legend deserves his own Coachella set after seeing clips. One lucky Coachella attendee commented, "I screamed so loud when he came on stage 😩😩😩."

In January, Metro teased fans with details about his Coachella performance via Twitter. Metro's tweets included some clues about the star-spangled set on the horizon. "Grateful for this opportunity to bring my vision and ideas to the big stage at @coachella this year," he said in a tweet. "I promise you that the same level of effort that I put into my music is going into this performance. Going to give you a real experience. Real legacy defining moment otw🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥"

He continued, "Metro and friends."

Despite taking a break from The Voice, it's been a year of exciting moments for Legend. In January, the EGOT winner and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, welcomed a new baby to the Legend family, Esti Maxine Stephens. Outside of collaborating with Metro Boomin on "On Time", Legend released his eighth studio album, Legend, last September.

Ahead of the exciting release, the star spoke to Elle about how he feels when making new music.

"Even though I've had plenty of success, and I'm very grateful for it, I'm not satisfied by it. I'm always trying to get better," Legend revealed. "I'm always trying to make my next record better than my last record. I think if you approach your career with that kind of humility and hunger it'll make you continue to focus on the next thing."

That hunger is what makes Legend such a legendary Coach on The Voice
