It's been a busy start to 2024 at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Not only has Host Jimmy Fallon sat down with big name celebs like Justin Timberlake, Jodie Foster, and Dakota Johnson, but he also helped pull off a surprise subway concert with one of the most legendary rock bands of all time, Green Day.
Timberlake swung by The Tonight Show to chat about his upcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was, and his January 27 return to Saturday Night Live as musical guest (where Fallon joined him for a new Barry Gibb Talk Show sketch). Foster was on to discuss starring in HBO's True Detective: Night Country, while Johnson talked hosting SNL for a second time and her new Spider-Man movie, Madame Web. Bryce Dallas Howard, James Corden, and Alan Cumming are just a few more stars who've rolled up to Fallon's desk this year.
Green Day wasn't the only standout performance on The Tonight Show lately. British pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor made her U.S. television debut of viral hit "Murder on the Dancefloor" from 2023's Saltburn, while Oscar Isaac sang a gorgeous duet with Grammy-winning artist Gaby Moreno.
