Fans may not know that Manheim, who plays Lt. Kate Dixon on Law & Order, has a 22-year-old son named Milo Manheim, who has followed in his mother's footsteps by pursuing a successful acting career. He is best known for his role as Zed in the 2018 Disney Channel original movies Zombies, and its sequels Zombies 2 and Zombies 3.

2023 was also a busy year for Milo, as other credits under his belt include Ben in the Disney Channel movie Prom Pact, Joseph in the musical film Journey to Bethlehem, Wally in the drama series School Spirits, and Ryan in the horror flick Thanksgiving

Milo is surely talented, and has his mother to thank for his dedicated work ethic. Read all about their heartwarming relationship, below.

Camryn Manheim's relationship with her son, Milo

In a January 2024 interview with People, Milo opened up about how he and his mother bond over their shared love for the art of acting.

“I grew up on set with my mom and I love the fact that we can have deep conversations about the craft of acting. It’s one of the things that really connects us, one of our deepest passions,” he told the outlet.

He also talked about how his upbringing with his mother impacted his outlook on life.

“She’s a single mom. I’m an only child. I spent the first 18 years of my life with her every day. What makes our connection so special is that we’re both willing to put in the work and that we have spent so many years actively working on our relationship…. We make each other better, bottom line,” he said.

He continued: “I love this work and am so passionate about it. I haven’t taken any handouts nor would I ever. I’ve realized that it’s really important for me to do these things by myself to feel proud of them.”

Milo gave Manheim the best birthday shoutout when he posted a sweet moment of the two attending a New York Knicks game together at Madison Square Garden on March 8. The two appeared on the Jumbotron grinning ear to ear, while Milo gave her a big hug.

''Happy Birthday Mama!!,'' he wrote in the caption.

Camryn had the most heartfelt response. ''You’re the best gift a mother could ever dream of. ❤️,'' she commented.

And we may see Milo on an episode Law & Order at some point in the future. Manheim told Hollywood Life that she spoke with producer Rick Eid about him possibly being cast following a suggestion from a co-star.

"We were out to dinner. We were having a big Law & Order family dinner," she said. "The producers were there and Jeffrey Donovan said to the producer, Rick Eid, ‘You know, Camryn’s son is like a huge superstar, right?’ He’s like ‘no’ because all he does is write Law & Order episodes. He’s like, ‘I don’t know.’ And Jeffrey’s like, ‘Oh my God, he’s huge. He’s got millions of followers. He’s a dancer. He’s a singer. He’s such a great guy. He sent a video to my kids. Maybe we should put them in the next episode. It’s about an Instagram star.’"

She continued, "So right there at the table, Rick Eid sent a message to the casting director and then he showed me his response and it said, ‘Are you kidding? There is no way we’re wasting Milo on three scenes about an Instagram star. You are going to write an entire episode for him.’ So it was really sweet at that moment to see Rick get excited about Milo because Jeffrey Donovan was excited about him. And then the casting director saying, ‘No, he’s too good for that little part. We’re going to write him something big.’ So that was a really sweet moment for me. I’m a proud mama. I can’t wait.”
