Season 23 of The Voice may be Blake Shelton’s last, but the singer doesn't want the show to go without a major country presence. On December 2, 2022, Shelton posted a great suggestion of who he thinks should fill his prolific shoes as a Coach on The Voice. “Y’all know that next spring The Voice Season 23 will be my last… So I’d like to throw @NealMcCoy 's hat in the ring as my replacement! Can I get an amen?!!!!” he tweeted.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Neal McCoy is a country legend who has released a whopping 15 studio albums and has had two number-one hits: “No Doubt About It” and “Wink."

McCoy himself acknowledged Shelton’s post with excitement, retweeting it and writing “How Cool is This????!!!!!”

In October 2022, Shelton announced that he will be departing The Voice after Season 23. “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” he said in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best."
