In honor of Coach Blake Shelton bidding farewell to The Voice in Season 23, the country crooner has revealed which of the 22 seasons has been his favorite.

Ahead of the upcoming season (premiering Monday, March 6 at 8/7c on NBC), Shelton chatted in an interview with CMT about his longtime tenure as a Voice Coach. When asked if Shelton has a particular season that is his favorite, the country singer said, "Yeah, there was."

“It must have been Season 4," he continued. "That was when Danielle Bradbery and the The Swon Brothers all ended up in the Finale."

Let's rewind, shall we? The year: 2013, a.k.a Season 4 of The Voice. The stakes: two Artists from Team Blake had become finalists, with Danielle Bradbery ultimately taking home the victory. At the time, it was Shelton's third win of the nine victories he would eventually collect. Season 4 was an especially tough competition, so all eyes were on Shelton to see who would win.

“At that point, I had won the show a couple of times already, and I kind of had a feeling that Danielle was gonna win," he said. "But it was cool that the Swons had all that momentum, and I just remember being completely wrapped up in that season. You know, Adam [Levine] was losing his mind. He was just getting his ass handed to him every single season at that point. And it's a blast! It's fun to see someone like him struggle.” Shelton playfully teased.

Shelton pours endless passion into coaching his team of Artists, but it's no secret that his lighthearted Coach rivalries often earn some spotlight, too. From Adam Levine to Kelly Clarkson, Shelton will fight tooth and nail to see his Artists secure the crown, which has led to some hilarious shenanigans, like the ones seen in Season 4.

Season 23 of The Voice is destined to be just as thrilling, with Shelton sitting in the red chair for the last time. Will there be just as many hijinks as in Season 4? Judging from the hilarity of previous seasons, Shelton's last hurrah is bound to be memorable.
