What is Orlando Bloom: To the Edge about?

The 3-part limited adventure docuseries follows celebrated actor and adventure enthusiast Orlando Bloom. In the series, Bloom takes viewers on a thrilling journey of self-discovery as he pushes his limits physically and mentally to reach his personal edge of what is possible. Through fear-defying adventures and spiritual awareness, Bloom overcomes his fears and learns more about himself, while inspiring the audience at home to explore and expand their own limits in everyday life.

Relying on Buddhist practices and support from his family and friends, Bloom takes this three-part journey and brings the audience along with him as he is trained by world-renowned experts to gain the confidence and skills needed to throw himself out of a plane, free dive under the sea, and ascend a sheer rock face in the desert. Not only are the locations themselves extreme but so are the potential consequences.

As is explained in the trailer, in his 20s, Bloom suffered a near-career-ending accident, breaking his back and leaving the scars to prove it. Since then, Bloom has risen to international fame, but he's looking to push himself even further in this series than ever before.

"I've always loved adventure," Bloom explains in the trailer, noting that being "on the edge" makes him feel most alive. "This time, I'll be guided by some extraordinary people who really know how to push their edge. I'm training to attempt three extremely dangerous sports ... it's challenging, but it's not impossible."

Produced by STX Television and Amazing Owl, Orlando Bloom: To The Edge’s executive producers are Orlando Bloom, Adam Karasick, Al Berman, Robert Simonds, Noah Fogelson, Jason Goldberg, and Scott Weintrob.

Peacock’s new original, Orlando Bloom: To The Edge, premieres on April 18 with all episodes available to stream exclusively on Peacock.
